Part‑Time Dual Enrollment Credentialed Instructor, Social Sciences Location: Wolfson Campus Employment: Temporary – Part‑time Job ID: 1006368 Job Family: Part‑time Instructor • Grade: P9 • Salary: $1.00 – Base Rate • Department: Social Sciences • Reports to: Department Chairperson • First Review Date: May 12, 2025 FLSA Status: Exempt – Not Eligible for Overtime Compensation Position Overview: This Part‑Time Instructor is responsible for teaching Social Sciences courses across a variety of modalities: MDC In‑Person, MDC Live (learning interactively in a virtual environment), MDC Online, and blended classes. Qualifications: Candidates must be employed by an authorized MDC Dual Enrollment secondary school partner and meet Miami Dade College Faculty Credential Statement teaching qualifications, including SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation minimum criteria. Master's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, Social Work, Guidance & Counseling, or a related behavioral science; or a Master's Degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in those disciplines. All degrees from a regionally accredited institution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Ability to thrive in a multi‑ethnic, multicultural environment. Flexibility to work evening and weekend assignments. What You Will Be Doing: Teach lecture and laboratory sections.
