Make a difference this summer by supporting students as an Elementary ESY Paraprofessional! Work directly with young learners to help them grow in a welcoming educational environment. This contract role is perfect for compassionate individuals ready to provide 1:1 or classroom assistance for elementary students.

Your assignment runs July 6 through July 23, with a required orientation in June (exact date TBD). The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8:45am-2:15pm, totaling 20 hours each week and includes a 30-minute lunch. Multiple positions are available across three elementary schools near Andover, MN. You may be assigned to work at one of several sites, each with unique openings and diverse student needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Para Test Certification, or proof of two years (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) of post-secondary coursework from an accredited institution, or a college degree.
• Experience as a paraprofessional or working with children with special needs preferred.
• Ability to assist with toileting, lifting, or feeding if needed—must be comfortable with personal care duties.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Must be available for an in-person interview.

• Work with students individually or support a classroom under teacher direction.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning atmosphere.
• Follow individual learning plans and provide hands-on support.
• Assist with personal care and basic needs as required.
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff and support personnel.
