Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a challenging role in the Emergency Room. This position requires the ability to provide emergency care to patients of all ages and diagnoses, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions and injuries.
• Perform triage and assess patient needs promptly.
• Administer medications, including emergency medications and IV therapies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and behaviors.
• Assist in various procedures, including but not limited to chest tube insertion and procedural sedation.
• Manage patient care for those experiencing mental health crises, including suicidal ideation.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of charge experience in an emergency setting.
• Active RN license in Pennsylvania or compact license.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with complex and multi-system issues.
• Experience with a patient ratio of 4-5 is essential.

Schedule

This position includes rotating shifts of 3x12 hours, with day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 and night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekends and holidays will be part of the regular scheduling requirements.
