Staff Accountant

At PSS Cross Country Infrastructure Solutions, every team member plays a critical role in delivering the products, equipment, and expertise that keep America’s infrastructure projects moving forward. The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes across multiple operating entities. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial data is accurate, timely, and compliant with GAAP while supporting inventory, fixed asset, and general ledger accounting functions in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Accounting Manager and collaborates closely with Finance and Operations teams across the organization. What You’ll Do General Accounting & Financial Reporting Maintain the fixed asset ledger, including rental fleet and capital leases Calculate and post monthly accrual entries, including insurance, property tax, franchise tax, and other expenses Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and supported within the general ledger and appropriate sub-ledgers Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to support timely and accurate financial reporting Prepare and maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation Prioritize daily tasks and manage multiple responsibilities to meet reporting deadlines Inventory & Cost Accounting Perform inventory accounting functions, including inventory costing analysis, cycle counts, WIP tracking, inventory turns, and monitoring slow-moving inventory Support inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed Maintain schedules for operating leases and ensure proper monthly accounting treatment Assist with maintaining accurate inventory and cost accounting records #J-18808-Ljbffr Pipeline Supply Service LLC
