Senior Financial Analyst - Westwood Insurance

Role Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive FP&A professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate enjoys turning complex financial and operational data into meaningful business insights while partnering closely with leadership to support strategic decision-making. This person will work independently, build financial models, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Responsibilities Analyze monthly financial results, including KPIs, and identify and explain trends and changes from plan/ prior year. Prepare related summaries and management reports for business leaders and key stakeholders. Provide monthly reporting package and communicate results as needed to support group deliverables. Develop and automate models to transform data into clear, concise management reporting. Collaborate with Technology and Data & Analytics partners to build and implement AI‑centric reporting, modeling, and business insight solutions. Assist in developing plan and forecast using various models, industry data, and insights from business leaders. Develop a key understanding of the expense and revenue drivers of the business for use in various modeling. Support business opportunities by collaborating with leaders and their teams, creating pro‑formas and other ad hoc analysis. Work primarily independently of a manager and contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward performance and a “can‑do” attitude. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. Experience: 3–4 years of relevant FP&A, Corporate Development, or related work experience. Preference for someone with experience in the insurance industry. Licenses: Insurance licenses including CPCU or Affiliated, P&C licensing, etc. Experience with process automation and utilization of AI tools is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply logic and rationale to connect various concepts. Effective research and investigative techniques. Quick learner in picking up insurance concepts and implementing them into analysis. Understanding of general accounting principles and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with AI tools and process automation is preferable. Travel: 10% overall; if outside Tampa area, 20–25%. Compensation Starting Compensation: $85,000 + annually.
