1st Shift Inventory Control Coordinator

Inventory Control Coordinator Location: Hobart, Indiana, United States. Shift: 1st Shift (Monday – Friday, 5:00am – 1:30pm). Job Type: Full Time. Responsibilities The Inventory Control Coordinator maintains the inventory database and ensures daily inventory levels meet distribution and operational needs. Enter data into the inventory database for quantities of issued and transferred parts. Resolve inventory shortage discrepancies. Receive manufactured parts into stock and issue them out to upcoming jobs. Consolidate manufactured parts to maximize shelf space. Assist in daily tasks to assure productivity efficiency. Identify parts through the use of SAP and drawings. Audit locations for part and count accuracy (e.g., work order and 3‑stage put‑away checks). Investigate missing stock parts needed for work orders and sales orders. Monitor and keep an updated shortage list available for the Inventory Management team. Ensure compliance with all Daifuku QMS policies and procedures. Drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Minimum 1 year of inventory control experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements Strong computer skills, including MS Office. Accurate data entry skills. Technical orientation. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service orientation. Team orientation. Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and multi‑task daily. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. ADA Requirements Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Kneeling: Bending legs at the knee to come to a rest on the knee or knees. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending legs and spine. Visual Acuity: Required for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines; using measurement devices; assembly or fabrication of parts at close distances. Job Conditions: Inside environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
