You will be embedded within the Energy & Energy Transition sector coverage team, supporting execution across M&A, capital raises, strategic advisory, and leveraged finance transactions.This role offers immediate responsibility and the opportunity to operate within a collaborative, high-impact environment where initiative is valued and performance is highly visible. You will join a team with a strong track record, focused on expanding Santander’s energy practice in Houston, while helping to mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performing culture.Take a leadership role in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and financial analysesManage and review financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction documentationOversee Analysts’ work, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of materialsLead due diligence processes and coordinate across internal teams and client counterpartiesActively participate in client meetings and contribute to deal discussionsConduct in-depth industry and company research to support origination and client strategyEngage directly with senior bankers and clients on live transactions and business development opportunitiesSupport the development of junior team members and contribute to team culture and processesWhat You Bring:To perform this role successfully, candidates should demonstrate the following:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, STEM, or a related field – RequiredMBA or other advanced degree – Preferred3+ years of relevant experience within the energy or infrastructure sector, including investment banking, corporate finance, accounting, or related fields (technical roles within energy also considered) – RequiredStrong understanding of corporate finance and investment banking products, with energy experience preferredAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and valuationProven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality output in a fast-paced environmentHigh ownership mindset and strong attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teamsDemonstrated leadership ability and interest in mentoring junior professionalsCertifications:FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 63, Series 79), or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hireIt Would Be Nice for You to Have:Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or educationExperience with Microsoft Office productsWhat Else You Need To Know:The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week.
