Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. It will be part-time every other weekend, Saturday 10-5 pm and possible Sunday fill in. Week fill in also available when necessary. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product selection, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about retail operations, skilled in sales techniques, and capable of creating an inviting environment for customers. Previous experience in healthcare or retail environments is a plus. Bilingual abilities and strong communication skills are highly valued to serve our diverse customer base effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and returns
- Conduct education to customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products and suggest complementary items to increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked and organized
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and replenishing merchandise
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Handle cashiering duties with accuracy, including processing payments via cash, credit, or digital methods
- Support supervising staff in daily operations as needed
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, healthcare, or similar environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and stock management
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling, and stock replenishment preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and professional communication standards
- Works well independently
