Associate Attorney - Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Litigation team in New York, NY. This role offers a dynamic environment where legal expertise meets innovative practices. The position involves representing financial institutions in various legal proceedings and requires a proactive approach to managing case workflows. Duties Represent financial institutions in foreclosure, bankruptcy, replevin, and related court proceedings. Manage case workflow and ensure compliance with client requirements, laws, and court rules. Draft and review motions, pleadings, and correspondence. Attend court hearings both in-person and virtually. Provide legal oversight and collaborate with support staff. Deliver responsive, client-focused legal services in a high-volume practice. Requirements Licensed to practice law in New York (required). 3+ years of litigation experience preferred. Experience working in a role that focuses on litigation. Strong legal writing, communication, and analytical skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and driven. Preferred: Multi-state licensure, bankruptcy or collections experience, federal licensure. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in New York. Skills Strong legal writing and communication skills.
