Nature of Work The Warehouse Assistant at Major League Fishing (MLF) is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the warehouse, including property maintenance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of inventory management, and property maintenance skills to ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations. Examples of Work Performed Assist in the receiving, storing and distributing of inventory. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks. Prepare and process orders for shipment. Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized and safe. Routine upkeep and handyman tasks, including, but not limited to, minor structural repairs, painting, drywall patching and bulb/fixture replacements. Grounds care, including, but not limited to, tree and shrub pruning, gutter cleaning and seasonal cleanups. Systems Management, including, but not limited to, coordinating with service professionals on plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems to prevent breakdowns. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Assist operations team in the setup and breakdown of event materials and equipment. Additional duties as assigned. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Warehouse Environment Ability to lift 50 lbs. daily Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management. Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management. Proficiency in handyman skills and use of related tools. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software. Preferred Qualifications Certification or additional training in warehouse management. Certification or additional training in construction trades or related disciplines. Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards. Additional Qualifications Ability to maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate professionalism. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner. Ability to work independently and in a group setting and demonstrate good judgment skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing environments.
