Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to support a seasonal travel assignment. This role involves providing high-quality care to obstetric patients in a busy hospital unit, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to laboring women, including high-risk cases and routine deliveries.
• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and other diagnostic equipment.
• Perform procedures such as C-sections, inductions, and administer medications like Pitocin and magnesium.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including OB hospitalists and support staff, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum processes.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 1-year recent experience in hospital L&D units.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM Certification (C or AWHONN preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in high-risk labor management and C-section circulations.
• Strong compassionate, friendly, patient, and solutions-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible night shift hours and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
