The Director of Surgery will report to the Chief Nursing Officer with strong dyad partnerships across the Chair of Surgery, Anesthesiology leadership, and Sterile Processing, supported by experienced nurse managers, clinical educators, charge RNs, and business analysts. As an Intra-operative Nurse Director, core responsibilities include strategic planning, budget stewardship, capital planning, accreditation readiness, infection prevention alignment, policy development, preference card optimization, and performance improvements that boost patient experience, staff engagement, and safety. In this role, the Operating Room Nurse Director will coach friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional teamincluding surgeons, anesthesia colleagues, perioperative RNs, surgical technologists, informaticists, case management, PT/OT, pharmacy, and supply chainto deliver consistent, evidence-based surgical care backed by streamlined EHR workflows, clinical decision support, and transparent dashboards for outcomes and quality metrics.
