Pilot Chemical Production OperatorInpria Corporation, a JSR company, has an opening for a Pilot Chemical Production Operator based in Beaverton, OR. Your experience in following procedures, attention to detail, and working in a team environment will help fuel our company's growth, support our key customers, and provide you with opportunities to expand your career.Key Qualifications:High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years relevant work experience, or Associates Degree in chemistry, engineering, or related fieldDemonstration of active and effective communication skills, verbal and writtenWell organized, flexible, enthusiastic, and eager to learnSelf-driven and proactive in achieving goalsAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentMust be detail oriented and safety mindedExperience with high-purity chemical handling is a plusAbility to successfully complete a pre-employment drug testPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to table heightAbility to move full 55-gallon drums with appropriate equipmentAbility to wear provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing tasks inside chemical manufacturing and cleanroom environmentsMay require fitting and use of respirator for specific tasksAbility to use a hand truck, drum lifter, and pallet jack to transport heavy objectsAbility to use a glovebox that requires handling of small objects with thick rubber glovesAbility to stand in one place for extended periodsAbility to use a keyboard and mouse for computer data entry40 hours/week or more may vary depending on the needs of the department; occasional weekend or overtime may be requiredMay be required to work 12-hour shifts100% of work hours are expected to be onsiteOccasional travel to the Inpria site in Corvallis, Oregon may be requiredJob Responsibilities:Perform standard and non-standard formulation production runsPerform chemical sampling procedures as neededPerform hands-on analytical measurements of in-process samples and other wet-bench chemistry, including use of laboratory fume hoods and inert gloveboxesPerform liquid particle counting procedures for both inline and batch measurementsPerform and complete data summary and submission functions related to job responsibilitiesPerform cleaning processes of various chemical manufacturing equipment under direction of technicians and engineeringReplace empty gas cylinders with full cylinders and coordinate ordering as neededManage chemical waste following defined procedures and policiesPerform general housekeeping in production areas and adjacent chemical labsAssist engineers and technicians on a variety of tasks and projectsAdhere to change management policies by following documented proceduresSupport EHS functions and initiatives as necessaryEscalate discrepant material or production issues and contribute to quality dispositions and material review boardComplete provided training and certification courses on dangerous goods shipping and waste handlingAccurately follow SOPs to efficiently pack, label, document, and manage shipmentsFollow packaging procedures including making and applying labels, RFIDs and completing shipment validation processesMonitor and maintain inventories of shipping and waste processing suppliesMonitor and maintain inventories of production consumables and suppliesProcess incoming shipments through acceptance, storage, and inventory documentation.
