Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHealth Ministries Clinic (HMC) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Walk-In Clinic team in Newton, Kansas. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.As a vital member of our care team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you'll work alongside providers, medical assistants, and support staff to deliver timely, evidence-based care for patients of all ages with acute illnesses and minor injuries. Our integrated model emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and compassionate care while ensuring every patient receives the attention they need.What You'll Do Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient, high-quality walk-in care.Perform nursing assessments, obtain patient histories, and communicate findings to the provider.Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR).Administer medications, immunizations, treatments, and other nursing interventions within the scope of licensure and provider orders.Assist with in-office procedures and diagnostic testing.Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health.Respond appropriately to patient questions, concerns, and urgent care needs.Monitor patient flow and help ensure timely delivery of care.Participate in quality improvement initiatives.Assist with maintaining exam rooms, clinical supplies, and inventory.Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing program.Current, unrestricted Kansas LPN or RN license.Current BLS certification.One (1) year or more of nursing experience required; experience in urgent care, walk-in clinic, family practice, emergency, or public health preferred.Strong working knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR).Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.Why Work at HMC?
