Sales Director, West Hartford CTWhy This Role Exists

West Hartford is one of our most distinctive communities, and right now it has room to grow. We need to add 15% occupancy over the next twelve months, and the person who does that will not just be filling beds — they will be building relationships, opening doors in the community, and making Aviva the name people think of first when a family sits down to make one of the hardest decisions of their lives. This role exists because our residents deserve a full, thriving community around them, and because we believe the right Sales Director can make that happen.

In your first six months, the goal is straightforward: move the needle 8%. That means prospecting, outreach, tours, follow-ups, and conversions — all of it. The second six months, you build on that momentum and drive the next 8%. By the end of year one, you will have materially changed the trajectory of this community.

• The full sales pipeline from first inquiry through move-in, including phone outreach, in-home visits, on-site tours, and referral partnerships
• Measurable daily and weekly activity targets (calls per day, off-site visits per week, presentations per month) that you set and hold yourself accountable to
• Community visibility — developing relationships with agencies, organizations, healthcare providers, faith communities, and local groups who can refer families to Aviva
• Brand presence in greater Hartford, through outreach, seminars, and events that put Aviva on the map for families who are not yet looking but will be

You have at least two years in a sales role, and ideally you have sold in senior living before. You know how to read a room, hold a conversation with a family member who is scared and overwhelmed, and also present confidently to a room full of healthcare professionals. You can balance a full prospecting pipeline without anyone reminding you to follow up.

You are comfortable in the field as much as in the office. You write clearly, speak well, and treat prospective residents with genuine patience and respect — not because it is required, but because you understand what is at stake for them.

At Aviva, we give people autonomy and then hold them accountable for results. We are not going to micromanage your calendar or script your conversations. What we are going to do is set clear occupancy goals, pay you well when you hit them, and get out of your way. This is not a desk role. You will be out in the community, knocking on doors (sometimes literally), and building a referral network that takes time and real effort. Base salary of $65,000 to $75,000, plus a robust incentive program tied directly to your performance. Medical, dental, and vision coverage available. 401(k) with company match. Competitive PTO.
