Campus Groundskeeping Associate: Saint Ignatius High School Saint Ignatius High School, a Jesuit college preparatory school for boys in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks an experienced, knowledgeable and energetic campus groundskeeping associate to join its Campus Operations team. Responsibilities Maintain all landscaping, including turf, perennial and annual beds, trees and shrubs. Maintain three outdoor artificial turf fields and one indoor field house. Maintain irrigation systems. Snow and ice removal in the winter. Maintain all equipment needed for duties. Maintain a fleet of approximately 10 school vehicles and associated equipment. Execute daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual groundskeeping activities. Repair and maintain equipment, keep maintenance records. Clean and maintain synthetic turf fields, track and surrounding areas. Handle external trash pickup and removal. Fertilize lawns, shrubs, flowers, trees and perform weed and insect control. Prune trees and shrubs. Snow removal by hand or equipment, and ice management of pedestrian walkways before 7:00 a.m. if 2 or more inches of snow falls overnight; continue during school day. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in groundskeeping, turf management, landscape management, agriculture or a related field; experience in institutional setting preferred. Knowledge of basic mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs for landscape and snow removal. Valid Ohio driver’s license and meet school insurability requirements. Ability to walk continuously throughout the day, perform moderate lifting, bending, kneeling and other physical labor is essential.
