About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hours Hours per Shift: 36 Guaranteed Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience and/or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 Emergency Department experience. License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (must be active/unexpired) Must-Have: - Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks. - Pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher. Description: Position is for a PM shift, 12 hours per day. Requires day/evening rotation hours, including schedules from 7 AM to 7:30 PM, 11 AM to 11:30 PM, and 3 PM to 3:30 AM. Must work two weekends in a four-week scheduling period and every other holiday. Flexible with floating to areas including Psych Emergency Department and Pediatric Emergency Department, caring for patients aged 15 and older unless prior pediatric experience is available. Patient ratio will be 1:4 to 1:5, depending on acuity. The Emergency Department is very busy, holding up to 120 treatment areas and serving between 350 to 440 patients per day. Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms while on assignment. Previous experience with EPIC and critical care is preferred. Skills-based hiring will be enabled for this position.
