Traveling Physical Therapist Opportunity

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from accredited schools approved by the APTA
• Active State License is Required to Start the Assignment
• BLS Certification May Be Required from AHA or ARC
• Current Colorado PT License
• Current BLS
• Master of Science in Physical Therapy
• Minimum 1 Year Clinic Experience
• Relevant and recent PT experience
• Inpatient/Acute Care Experience
• Outpatient Experience
• Strong Orthopedic Skills
• Excellent Electronic Record Navigation Skills
• Cedaron/APTA Connect and Meditech EMR Experience
• Willing to Supervise PTA

Assignment Details

• 13-week assignment or longer.
• Shift schedule includes Mon-Thurs 4x10s every other week.
• Shift schedule includes Mon-Fri 4x9s and 1x4 every other week.
• Required to float between outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Patient care mix is 80% outpatient and 20% inpatient, including acute care and swing bed.

Location Highlights

La Junta, Colorado offers access to southeastern Colorado landmarks and open-air recreation. Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site is located in La Junta, and Comanche National Grassland sits about 30 miles south with hiking, birding, and prairie views. John Martin Reservoir State Park is about 45 miles east and provides boating, fishing, and camping, while downtown La Junta offers a quieter small-city setting with access to U.S. Highway 50. The city is about 60 miles west of Lamar and roughly 90 miles east of Pueblo, giving travelers regional access to additional dining, shopping, and cultural stops.
