Under the direction of Plant Manager, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for efficiently managing the dispatching process and maintaining seamless communication with Truck Drivers, encompassing South Holland's drivers and third-party common carriers. Your efforts are essential in ensuring we meet our customers' precise pickup and delivery requirements, contributing to our overall customer satisfaction and service excellence.Requirements Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items:Communication and DispatchingTelephone ManagementPickup ManagementDriver DispatchingShipping ManagementShipping Oversight: understanding of shipping processes will ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.Documentation Preparation: Packing Slips, Bills of Lading (B/L), and tags.Tracking Shipments: Utilize tracking systems to monitor the status of shipments proactively.Claims ManagementOrder ManagementNew Orders ProcessingCustomer and Material Number CreationPurchase Order TrackingAdministrative TasksFile Management: Set up and maintain new files for invoicesManage the procurement and inventory of office suppliesCredit and Tax Management: As needed, assist in conducting credit checksCustomer Service CommitmentTechnology Proficiency in using ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent is strongly preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesTask Prioritization: Efficiently prioritize and schedule a high volume of work, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.Shipping Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of shipping practices and exceptional customer service skills, enabling effective verbal and written communication with various stakeholders.#1AndritzWay Core BehaviorsCustomer FocusOwnership for PerformanceShared CommitmentOpennessJob Specific CompetenciesMechanical Aptitude and basic skillsAbility to follow protocolEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma is required.
