Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small part imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, clearly articulating each step with sensitivity
• Work closely with a network of radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain imaging technology, reporting any technical issues as they arise
• Accurately record procedures and maintain patient information within the electronic medical record system
• Continue to expand knowledge of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• A completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
