Claims Support Specialist Full Time Clerical Augusta, ME, US Salary Range: $19.31 To $25.10 Hourly The Maine Municipal Association's Risk Management Services department is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Claims Support Specialist to join our collaborative Claims team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate claims information and supporting the efficient administration of Workers' Compensation and Property & Casualty claims in a fast-paced, paperless environment. What You'll Do Process and enter new claims and claim updates into the claims management system. Open, sort, scan, and route incoming correspondence and documents. Process medical bills, expense payments, and other claim-related transactions. Print and reconcile claim checks. Generate and distribute correspondence, reports, and Workers' Compensation Board forms. Perform daily electronic data transfers and claims processing activities. Respond to member and vendor inquiries and provide administrative support as needed. Assist with general office and departmental support functions. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. Two or more years of administrative or office support experience. Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Word. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to deal with the public, members, vendors, and employees professionally and tactfully. General insurance knowledge is preferred but not required.
