The Field Service Technician III is a senior-level position that involves performing expert-level technical maintenance, repair, and support for complex systems. This role requires advanced diagnostic skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage field projects independently. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.Responsibilities:Perform expert-level maintenance and repairs on complex aerospace and defense systems.Independently manage field service projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.Diagnose and resolve the most challenging technical issues.Lead and mentor junior and mid-level technicians, providing technical guidance and support.Develop and deliver advanced training programs for customers and internal teams.Maintain accurate and detailed records of all field activities and equipment status.Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.Oversee inventory management for spare parts and tools.Generate comprehensive technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.Travel extensively to customer sites, potentially including international locations.Qualifications You Must Have:High school diploma or GED equivalent.3+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field.Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.Ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques.Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts.Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationallySuccessfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessmentAbility to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locationsAbility to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to OCONUS operating location.Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as requiredA United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted.
