General Surgery Physician - North Carolina (Wilson) | Locum Position
Join a leading facility in Wilson, NC, offering a flexible schedule and competitive compensation. Start Date: 07/18/2026
End Date/Duration: 12/31/2026 (anticipated)
Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, on-call as required
Hours/week: Full-time (may vary based on schedule)
Employment Type: Locum / Temporary assignment
License/Certs: Active North Carolina medical license required
Experience: Prior general surgery experience preferred; GI capabilities highly preferred

What You'll Do
- Perform general surgery procedures in a busy hospital setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care
- Manage pre- and post-operative care and coordinate with ancillary staff
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health records
- Participate in on-call duties, as required
- Support ongoing facility needs until permanent physicians are hired
What You Need
- Active North Carolina medical license
- Current medical license with a clean history
- Ability to perform general surgical procedures; GI skills preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
About the Assignment This assignment is at a leading facility in Wilson, NC, committed to delivering quality healthcare services. The provider will support surgical services and work collaboratively with the hospital team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The assignment is critical to ensure ongoing care coverage while permanent physicians are recruited.
