Local Contract Nurse RN - Cardiac Cath Lab - $34-55 per hour

Job Summary The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who uses the BSWH nursing model to coordinate patient care. The RN assesses patients, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient response. The RN promotes safe passage for patients through knowledge of patient needs, helps patients transition through healthcare without preventable complications or delays, and delegates interventions to healthcare personnel within the Texas Nursing Practice Act, considering each patient's condition and staff competencies. Essential Functions of the Role Clinical Judgment: Using clinical reasoning, conducts accurate assessments according to standards, identifies and prioritizes patient and family needs, develops, implements, and evaluates the nursing care plan, and modifies the plan to meet outcomes. Clinical Inquiry: Evaluates nursing practice quality and effectiveness, including nursing indicators, supports evidence‑based practice changes through research and learning, and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Caring Practices: Creates an attentive, helpful, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff, develops therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries, and manages emotional and physical pain to promote relief and healing and prevent unnecessary suffering.
