1st Class Electrician – Shipyard

Location: Lockport, LA
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift

Summary

Seeking an experienced 1st Class Electrician for shipyard work in Lockport, LA. Candidates must have marine electrical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Must-Haves

3+ years of shipyard or marine electrical experience
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Experience troubleshooting AC/DC systems
Knowledge of shipyard safety standards
Reliable transportation
Ability to work full-time day shift

Preferred

Experience on barges, tugboats, or offshore vessels
NCCER or OSHA certifications
Experience with motor controls and switchgear
Ability to work overtime as needed

How do you troubleshoot electrical issues onboard vessels?
What systems have you worked on?
Can you read and interpret blueprints and schematics?
What safety procedures do you follow?
