Technology plays a crucial role in our practice, with secure telehealth platforms used to deliver client counseling sessions in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities Provide Individualized Therapy: Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Tailor therapeutic interventions to address diverse mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship dynamics. Comprehensive Assessments: Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations to gain insight into each client's specific needs and develop detailed, client-centered treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Treatment Planning & Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate client progress and adapt treatment strategies to maximize therapeutic effectiveness. This may include modifying therapy objectives based on feedback and ongoing assessments. Collaborative Case Management: Actively engage with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and other counselors, to ensure integrated care and appropriate referrals for clients needing additional resources. Document Clinical Progress: Maintain meticulous clinical documentation that adheres to state regulations and best practices, ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA. Ongoing Professional Development: Participate in various professional development opportunities, including training, workshops, and supervision, to advance clinical skills and stay current with trends in mental health treatment. Patient Population / Client Focus As an LCPC at Valence Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and socioeconomic statuses. You will address a wide range of mental health issues, and your approach will emphasize building trust and rapport, allowing clients to feel safe and supported throughout their therapeutic journeys. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in New York is essential. At least two years of clinical experience providing outpatient counseling is preferred. Strong commitment to client-centered care and compassion for the client’s journey toward healing. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues. Strong organizational abilities to manage documentation and treatment plans with attention to detail. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with experience working in diverse settings, particularly with underserved populations, are highly valued. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, based on experience.
