Senior Medical Science Liaison - Obesity and Related Conditions - VA/WV

Senior Medical Science Liaison position within Amgen's Medical Affairs team, covering obesity and related conditions across Virginia and West Virginia. Responsibilities include engaging with clinical opinion leaders and healthcare providers, supporting clinical research, and communicating scientific data to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchanges with opinion leaders and healthcare decision makers on obesity treatments
• Engage with clinical investigators and research sites supporting obesity pipeline development
• Communicate clinical and economic data to population health decision makers within healthcare institutions
• Support Amgen-sponsored research and serve as study lead when designated
• Present field observations and insights to internal stakeholders to inform company strategy

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 2+ years medical affairs experience, or master's with 6+ years, or bachelor's with 8+ years
• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred
• Seven or more years in medically related field with clinical practice or research focus
• Two or more years as medical science liaison in biotech or pharmaceutical company
• Cardiometabolic and obesity-related conditions expertise
• Strong scientific communication and relationship-building capabilities
