Chief Operating Officer (COO) – CPA FirmWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer to oversee the day-to-day operations of our clients CPA firm. Working closely with firm leadership and the Firm Administrator, the COO will help strengthen internal processes, improve operational efficiency, and support the firm's continued growth.This is a newly created position, offering the right individual a unique opportunity to help define the role, establish priorities, and shape the firm's operational strategy. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands professional-services environments and can balance big-picture planning with practical execution.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the firm's daily operations in coordination with the Firm AdministratorPartner with firm leadership to develop and execute operational strategiesEvaluate current processes and implement improvements that increase efficiency, accountability, and profitabilityEstablish policies, procedures, and performance standards across the firmSupport workforce planning, employee development, and firmwide communicationOversee administrative functions, technology, facilities, vendor relationships, and other operational areasHelp improve workflow management, resource allocation, and coordination among departmentsMonitor operational and financial performance, identifying opportunities to control costs and improve marginsSupport the implementation and optimization of firm technology and practice-management systemsAssist with change management and the adoption of new processesCollaborate with leadership on long-term growth initiatives and strategic planningHelp define the responsibilities, goals, and long-term direction of the COO position as the firm's needs evolveQualificationsSignificant experience in operations, administration, or executive leadershipExperience within a CPA firm, law firm, consulting firm, or other professional-services environment strongly preferredProven ability to improve processes and lead organizational changeStrong business judgment and understanding of financial and operational performanceExcellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with partners, firm leadership, administrative staff, and accounting professionalsHighly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple prioritiesExperience with practice-management systems, workflow technology, or firmwide software implementations is a plusBachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field preferredWhat We OfferThe opportunity to build and shape a newly created executive roleMeaningful influence over the firm's operations and future growthA collaborative working relationship with firm leadership and the Firm AdministratorA professional environment that values initiative, thoughtful leadership, and continuous improvementCompetitive compensation and benefits
