About Us SEVTC is an intermediate care facility operated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) that supports individuals in state‑of‑the‑art homes with personalized accommodations. About The Role In this PRN, wage‑based role, you’ll provide essential care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist individuals with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and communication. Provide emotional and behavioral support to individuals with maladaptive behaviors. Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the interdisciplinary team. Promote independence and self‑determination in a safe and structured environment. Collaborate with clinical, nursing, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care. Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety procedures. These positions are considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency or facility need. All SEVTC positions are required to work different shifts and/or overtime as requested. This is an hourly/wage position with no benefits. Hourly employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1,500 hours in a year. Position numbers W0303, W0305, W0307, and W0310 will be filled from this posting. Training Requirement All new hires must successfully complete SEVTC’s Pre‑Service Training Program: a 10‑day class held Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Person‑Centered Practices CPR/First Aid Certification TOVA (Therapeutic Options of Virginia) Medication Administration Nutritional Management Physical/Behavioral Management Skills And Experience Required Strong verbal and written communication skills. Dependable, accountable, and reliable. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to work with an integrated team. High‑school diploma or equivalent. Active, valid driver’s license. Bonus Points If You Have Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and other disabilities. Prior experience working with medically fragile individuals. Experience as a Direct Support Professional, Certified Nursing Assistant, or similar role. Demonstrated experience working with electronic medical records. Why Join SEVTC?
