Preconstruction Project Manager

A growing design-build construction firm is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to support commercial interior and workplace projects throughout the Philadelphia region.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in both project management and estimating/preconstruction who enjoys working directly with clients and helping guide projects through the early phases of design and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the preconstruction process from early design through contract execution
• Develop and manage project budgets
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams
• Manage project schedules and key milestones during design/preconstruction
• Lead client communication throughout the preconstruction phase
• Support design coordination and constructability discussions
• Help ensure alignment between scope, budget, and project goals

Project types are primarily corporate interiors and workplace environments in the $1M–$5M range.

Ideal backgrounds may include:

• Commercial GC Project Managers with budgeting/preconstruction experience
• Preconstruction Managers
• Estimators with strong client-facing ability
• Design-build professionals
• Client-facing subcontractor PMs/Estimators

Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years of construction industry experience
• Strong understanding of estimating, budgeting, and construction processes
• Experience working directly with clients
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Commercial interiors experience is a plus
