Sr. Accountant

Accountant-Manufacturing Environment
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Salary: Up to $75,000

We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to add an Accountant to their growing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions, support financial reporting, and work closely with leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed
• Review financial data and reports to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Help maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
• Support inventory and cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment
• Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Inventory or cost accounting experience is a plus
• Experience working with ERP systems preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
