What You ll Do

• Take patient histories, perform physical exams, and formulate assessments in trauma cases.
• Assist in surgeries as a first or second assist under supervision, with documentation of training or competency.
• Order diagnostic tests and interpret results to support timely patient care.
• Provide patient counseling on medications, procedures, and health strategies.
• Initiate and coordinate hospital admissions, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Administer medications, transmit prescriptions, and document clinical activities.
• Support robotic-assisted surgeries, including local anesthesia, wound repair, and fracture management.
• Work collaboratively with trauma surgeons, nursing staff, and support teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

What You Need

• Valid California Physician Assistant license.
• Surgical assisting certification or documented training/competency in surgical assistance.
• Trauma experience (Level II Trauma Center experience preferred).
• Key skills: strong clinical assessment, procedural skills, ability to work independently, excellent communication, and teamwork.
