We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide frontline technical support to faculty, staff, and students. The position will troubleshoot computers, software, peripherals, classroom technology, audiovisual equipment, connectivity issues, and other common technology problems.

The technician will also support workstation setup, equipment deployment, employee onboarding and offboarding, classroom and meeting-room technology, routine maintenance, inventory activities, and technology projects. The role requires strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills, along with the ability to learn new technologies and appropriately escalate issues requiring advanced technical or administrative access.

Key Responsibilities Frontline Technical Support

• Provide technical support to users in person, remotely, and through a service-request process.
• Diagnose and resolve common Windows and macOS computer issues.
• Troubleshoot software, applications, user accounts, authentication, printers, peripherals, and connectivity issues.
• Support monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, mobile devices, and related technology.
• Assist with workstation setup, equipment replacement, technology deployments, office moves, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Document work performed and escalate issues requiring advanced troubleshooting or administrative access.

Classroom, AV & Conferencing Support

• Provide frontline support for classroom, conference-room, and audiovisual technologies.
• Assist with displays, projectors, microphones, cameras, speakers, conferencing systems, and presentation equipment.
• Troubleshoot common classroom and meeting-room technology issues.
• Support meetings, instructional activities, livestreams, hybrid events, and other technology-enabled activities.
• Perform routine equipment checks and help ensure classrooms and meeting spaces are ready for use.

Endpoint & Device Support

• Assist with setup, deployment, maintenance, and support of Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
• Prepare computers for deployment and install approved software.
• Configure peripherals and perform routine software and operating-system updates.
• Assist with device enrollment, equipment replacement, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot device configuration issues and verify equipment functionality.
• Maintain standardized workstation configurations.
• Assist with technology inventory and equipment tracking.
• Perform routine tasks in endpoint and directory-management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, and Active Directory, as assigned.

Technology Operations & Team Support

• Assist with technology projects, equipment deployments, technology refreshes, inventory, and documentation.
• Follow established technical procedures and documentation.
• Document newly identified issues and solutions.
• Collaborate with IT personnel and technology partners.
• Escalate issues outside the assigned responsibilities or technical expertise.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated knowledge or experience supporting computers, technology, or end users.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals.
• Ability to troubleshoot common computer and technology problems.
• Familiarity with Windows environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Relevant technical training, certifications, internships, help-desk experience, or hands-on technology experience.
