Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused physical therapy interventions under supervision of a licensed therapist, following a treatment plan.
• Assist with therapeutic activities for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, including mobility, gait training, strengthening, and balance exercises.
• Monitor patient response to therapy, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising clinician.
• Prepare therapy areas and equipment, ensure patient safety, and maintain clinical cleanliness and organization.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other care providers to coordinate care across settings.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as charting, data collection, and timely completion of documentation in the patient record.

Requirements

• Active Missouri PTA license required
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Ability to work in a LTAC/hospital rehabilitation setting, with both inpatient and outpatient caseload
• Strong communication and documentation skills; patient safety mindset
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or similar)
• Prior experience in physical therapy settings (inpatient or outpatient) preferred
