IT Security Engineer

Focused on enhancing organizational security, the full-time remote IT Security Engineer will apply IT security principles and AI-powered tools to protect company resources, manage threat detection, and ensure compliance with security policies. Key responsibilities: Maintain and optimize IT security configurations and infrastructure, collaborating with IT and network engineers Develop and document security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Conduct threat detection and vulnerability management, utilizing AI-driven tools to identify and mitigate security risks Required qualifications: High school diploma or GED; BS in Information Technology or equivalent technical discipline preferred Three to five years of direct experience in Cyber Engineering or information assurance Strong experience with vulnerability assessment tools and AI-powered security platforms Proficiency in network security, firewall configurations, and incident response Practical experience using AI/ML-powered security tools for threat detection and automated response
