Instructors are responsible for the preparation and deliveryofallcoursematerialsincludingthesyllabus,lecture,andothercoursedeliverypreparation,as well as keeping attendance records. This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian missionandvisionofACUtoTransformCulturewithTruth,andtheabilitytoadvancethatmissionand vision through classroom instruction and person-to-person mentorship and discipleship. Prerequisite Qualifications: Applicantsmust possessa master’sor Ph.D.degree withan emphasisin Bible, Theology, or Christian Ministries OR have a pastoral recommendation from their home church indicating the ability and experience in leading a small group. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong written and oral presentation skills Strongorganizational skills and e videnceofaChristiancommitmentwithinterestinandabilitytointegrateorthodoxbiblical principles and learning Typical Duties: Supervision and instruction of students in classroom settings Evaluation of subject matter taught and maintenance of student records Participation in departmental and university-wide meetings Providespiritual support and prayer to students and staff Working Conditions: Requiresworkingonacomputer,PCorlaptop;abilitytoworktheseandofficerelated equipment and the abilitytoread,write,see,hear,andspeak clearly Requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach or sit for long periods of time May be required to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents Abilitytorespond effectivelytosensitive inquiriesor complaints Abilitytomakeeffectiveandpersuasivespeechesandpresentationsoncontroversialorcomplex topics Abilitytosolvepracticalproblemsanddealwithavarietyofabstractandconcretevariablesin situations where only a limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
