Structural Analysis Engineer

Leads development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance. Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution, and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and recommending improvements. Develops analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development efforts. Works under minimal direction.Apply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.Position ResponsibilitiesEvaluate strength of structural non-conformances and repairsApply knowledge of structural analysis principles to assess and resolve product and process issues discovered throughout the product lifecycleAnalyze MRB dispositions for structural integrity and identify, document, and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safetyProvide alternate repair recommendations as necessary to Liaison Engineering to meet structural requirementsCoordinate with regulatory agencies and representatives to support certification of aircraft structural componentsSupport in-service products by leading investigations into failures and recommending improvementsMaintain a positive, proactive mindset and effectively manage multiple assignments with a sense of urgencyUtilize LEAN best practicesProactively collaborate with customers and build positive relationships with cross-functional teams, including Liaison Engineering and OperationsCommunicate effectively with engineering peers, team members, and managementBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an accredited program in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field9+ years of experience in aircraft structural analysis, stress analysis, or a combination of relevant education and technical experiencePreferred Qualifications xhyhwjd (Desired Skills/Experience)10+ years of experience supporting commercial aircraft structures programs5+ years of experience providing production support as a stress analyst in an aerospace manufacturing environmentExperience with Model Based Definition (MBD), CATIA, ENOVIA, and Product Data Management (PDM) systemsExperience with aerospace structural analysis and engineering toolsAbility to support occasional domestic travel (up to 10%)Experience with composite structures and stress analysisAbility to lead technical efforts and work independently within a team environmentExcellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to make decisions and deliver resultsDemonstrated commitment to solving problems and meeting commitments
