Regional Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Physician

Annual Salary Range: $349,200.00 to $360,000.00, with additional potential incentives reaching up to $28,910*. Options for reduced schedules with prorated compensation may also be available. *Some incentive figures are estimates based on possible premium pay.

Position Overview: We are looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist to become part of our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team at our medical center in Oakland. This role will involve collaboration with our partners located in Roseville, CA, and Santa Clara, CA. The selected physician will join a well-established team supported by dedicated staff and pediatric hematology/oncology professionals. Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering comprehensive care, including chemotherapy and targeted therapies for patients with CNS tumors and related conditions such as neurofibromatosis Types 1 and 2.
• Participating in pediatric neuro-oncology tumor board meetings.
• Interpreting molecular profiling and genetic mutation data to tailor individualized treatment plans.
• Monitoring the progress and overseeing care for brain tumor patients across the region.
• Providing direct patient care in Oakland and virtual consultations at the partnering sites.

Ideal candidates should possess strong interpersonal communication and teaching abilities, be adept at enrolling patients in clinical trials, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team that includes pediatric neurosurgery, hematology/oncology, pathology, radiology, radiation oncology, and other pediatric subspecialties. Our program is fully integrated and actively participates in the Children’s Oncology Group (COG).
