POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Accounting Intern supports the accounting team with daily financial operations, month-end activities, and special projects. This role is designed for students pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field who want hands-on experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain AP inbox and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Support month-end close activities such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Clean up old Purchase orders.
- Perform data entry, financial analysis, and spreadsheet updates to support the accounting team.
- Assist with reconciliations.
- Assist with collecting data for the audits and other accounting duties as assigned
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
