Key Responsibilities :

• Obtain and review medical and dental history and/or records from patient, review care slips and ensure health history is updated for all returning patients.
• Perform assessments and document patient care accurately
• Perform clinical procedures, including digital xrays, oral cancer screenings, wellness scans, oral prophylaxis, gingival scaling, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, hygiene laser procedures, sealants and fluoride.
• Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of effective oral hygiene methods
• Educate patients on oral-systemic health connection, prevention, and lifestyle habits
• Collaborate closely with dentist and team members to deliver exceptional patient experiences
• Help maintain a welcoming, calming atmosphere for patients

Qualifications:

• Current Arizona Dental Hygienist license
• Local anesthesia license.
• Current CPR certification and hepatitis B immunization
• 1+ years of prior hands-on Hygienist experience is highly preferred
• Knowledge of Dentrix software
• Experience with or willingness to learn laser-assisted hygiene procedures
• Experience with or willingness to learn digital scanning/intraoral scanning technology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

Schedule:

• Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation :

$48–$51/hour, based on experience
