Claims SpecialistSan Antonio, TX ContractRole Description:• Responsible for the recovery of subrogation claims from insurance carriers and self-insured entities.• Ensure coverage has been properly applied to the loss and coordinate a response with the adjuster when a coverage issue has been identified or potential third-party liability.• Review claim files to evaluate collection potential and develop strategies for each recovery in order to pursue, negotiate, and settle subrogation.• Familiar with the rules of Intercompany Arbitration and forms therein, which include composing and writing contentions for submission, as well as responses to adverse carrier submissions for arbitration.• Reimburse policyholders deductible after recovery is completed.• Communication with involved parties to negotiate payment plans, when necessary.• Interaction with insurance adjusters, attorneys, government offices, municipalities and DOT Offices.• Effectively negotiates settlements with adjusters or any insured representative.• Apply P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages, statutes of limitation, evidence and damages to document file for a successful recovery.• Assist with other subrogation related tasks as required to enable a successful recovery.Competencies: Claims Management-Personal Lines, Claims Management Property and Casualty Experience (Years): 4-6 Syntricate Technologies
