Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations and financial reporting for a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting executive decision-making, and overseeing daily accounting activities. This is an on-site position and the successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership while managing a small accounting team. Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management, inventory, and payroll
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Communicate financial results and operational insights to executive leadership
- Support business planning activities and ensure financial consistency with approved plans
- Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls
- Provide timely financial status updates to management
- Coordinate year-end financial reviews with external CPA firms
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies
- Manage daily cash flow and support special projects as needed
- Ensure compliance with company safety and health policies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 5-7 years of accounting and financial reporting experience
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
- Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with ERP systems; Plex experience is a plus
- CPA certification is beneficial
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer for several hours per day
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, or lift up to 25 pounds
- Occasional exposure to plant environments with high noise levels and elevated temperatures
- Occasional travel may be required
