CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistPay: Up to $33/hour ($68,640 annually)Location: Vancouver, WAAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team in Vancouver, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for machine setup, tooling selection, first article inspections, program verification, and operating multiple CNC machines while maintaining high quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys precision machining, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative shop environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSelect and install the correct tooling for each job.Load fixtures and verify proper machine setup.Perform first article inspections to ensure programs and machines are operating accurately.Monitor tool wear and machining performance.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.Adjust feeds, speeds, and cut depths as required.Troubleshoot and prove out new programs before production runs.Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications.Required QualificationsExperience performing full machine setups on 3-4 axis horizontal mills.Strong CNC machining and setup experience.Working knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Experience using precision measuring tools and performing quality inspections.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced knowledge of GD&T principles.Strong math and geometry skills.Experience with Mastercam programming.Ability to troubleshoot machining and setup issues independently.Why Join Our Team?Competitive pay up to $33/hourConsistent full-time work with overtime opportunitiesTypical workweeks of 50+ hours, offering strong earning potentialFlexible 4x10 scheduleEarly start times available, but not requiredStable company with a strong commitment to employee retentionCollaborative culture where employee feedback and ideas are valuedSmall team environment with direct impact on production successWork EnvironmentThis position is based in a clean, organized machine shop environment.
