The CRNA will also provide preoperative anesthesia services in the Pre-Anesthesia Assessment Center in collaboration with the attending anesthesiologist.**Job Responsibilities:*** Prepare the anesthesia cart and necessary supplies.* Prepare and check the anesthesia machine prior to procedures.* Requisition, prepare, and label perioperative medications.* Conduct preoperative patient evaluations.* Obtain appropriate intravenous access.* Apply all required patient monitoring equipment.* Document all anesthesia department records in a timely and legible manner.* Document all perioperative pharmacological interventions.* Document all perioperative non-pharmacological interventions and events on the anesthesia record.* Provide patient report to PACU nursing staff following procedures.* Maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room and anesthesia areas.* Notify anesthesia technicians of equipment issues or supply needs.* Maintain accurate counts of all controlled substances used.**Job Requirements:*** Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).* Certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).* Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationsMontefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
