Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Title:Senior Infrastructure Engineer Location: Onsite Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: San Antonio, Texas Compensation: Up to $130,000 annually About the Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing manufacturing organization. This is a hands-on technical leadership role offering significant ownership and autonomy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise systems, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity operations while driving technology initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Systems Administration Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra ID, and Intune environments. Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and related platforms. Oversee virtualization environments such as Hyper-V, Proxmox, or comparable technologies. Manage user provisioning, access controls, and identity lifecycle processes. Develop and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies. Create and maintain technical documentation, policies, procedures, and system runbooks. Network Infrastructure Management Design, support, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN environments. Configure and maintain wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, and network authentication systems. Implement and maintain network segmentation strategies to support manufacturing operations. Monitor network performance and recommend improvements to optimize reliability and security. Cybersecurity Operations Serve as the primary technical lead for cybersecurity initiatives. Partner with Managed Detection and Response (MDR) providers to monitor and respond to security threats. Manage security alerts, incident response activities, and escalation procedures. Administer endpoint protection, Microsoft Defender, certificates, key management, and access controls. Conduct periodic security reviews, audit log analysis, and risk assessments. Compliance & Vendor Management Support compliance initiatives related to industry and regulatory requirements. Document and remediate compliance gaps and corrective actions. Evaluate IT vendors, technologies, and solutions while managing vendor relationships and service expectations. Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and stabilization. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Windows server and Microsoft 365 environments. Strong expertise with: Active Directory and Group Policy Entra ID and Intune Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 administration Enterprise networking, wireless technologies, and firewalls Virtualization technologies and cloud services Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning Experience supporting cybersecurity operations, access controls, and incident response. Excellent documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Experience within manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environments. Familiarity with compliance frameworks supporting regulated manufacturing industries. Experience working with MDR platforms such as CrowdStrike, Arctic Wolf, or Huntress. Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, SC-300, or equivalent. Experience managing IT vendors and leading infrastructure projects. #J-18808-Ljbffr
