About the Role
The Company is seeking a Merchant Services Business Development Manager - Executive Director for the EMEA region. The successful candidate will be a key player in the Merchant Services team, responsible for prospecting, pitching, and closing payables solutions for a diverse range of clients, including corporate, financial institutions, healthcare, public sector, and multi-national clients. This role demands a leader with an extensive network of senior merchant contacts in the region, a deep understanding of the payables industry, and a proven track record in managing complex client transactions. The primary focus will be on meeting and exceeding revenue goals, identifying client needs, and acting as a consultant to provide tailored payables solutions. The role also involves overseeing the sales cycle, maintaining a robust sales pipeline, and working with cross-functional teams on deal negotiations. Candidates for this role at The Company should have a background in payment processing and merchant acquisition, with a specific emphasis on Payment Facilitation and Marketplace models. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of successful selling to and managing relationships with large and complex organizations in the EMEA region. Strong influencing, negotiation, and partnership skills are essential, as is the ability to work across cultures and operate in a matrix partnership environment. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with a preference for a Master's degree, and fluency in at least one European language in addition to English. The role is suited to individuals who can demonstrate thought leadership in client solutions and who are adept at working with senior decision-makers to achieve business goals.
