Job Details Job Location: Plateau Travel Plaza - Madras, OR, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Any, The Travel Plaza C-Store Manager is responsible for the management, accounting, and financial approvals associated with the duties of operating all shifts and supervising Shift Supervisors and all team members. The C-Store Manager must be knowledgeable about the Warm Springs Casino Enterprises, including both Indian Head Casino, The Plateau Travel Plaza, and the Warm Springs reservation. Qualifications Assists the Director with the day-to-day operations of business for the Travel Plaza. Ensures a high level of guest satisfaction and assists in the planning, development, and implementation of positive and effective customer relations. Ensures that customer concerns and problems are handled in a timely and effective manner. Provides excellent customer service to all guests, internal and external. Promotes positive guest service ideals and processes that will ensure customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient and quality service by all staff members. Provides time management supervision, assisting with scheduling and payroll time sheets, ensuring payroll accuracy for all team members and C-Store Supervisors. Oversees and maintains C-Store schedules for effective coverage of all shifts, including ensuring appropriate staffing for all business needs. Provides the supervision of C-Store Supervisors and team members, works with the Director in hiring, conducting performance evaluations, counseling, training, assisting operations as needed, and disciplinary actions. Assists in directing and leading C-Store Supervisors and team members to ensure the organization's goals are being met. Assists in handling team member relations issues as needed. Administers cash handling procedures, daily shift reconciliations, and deposits etc. Maintains safe working conditions throughout the property, ensuring the facility is cleaned and maintained according to established standards. Communicates with team members and Management about operational concerns, staffing needs, maintenance needs, and/or reports and participates in meeting established business goals and objectives. Promotes effective communications through daily communication with all C-Store Supervisors and team members in staff meetings, informational logs, e-mails, written materials, etc. Upholds all company, Tribal, State and Federal laws, regulations, rules, and requirements, the team member handbook, departmental policies and procedures, safety codes, etc., ensuring team member compliance. Administers policies appropriately and consistently. Monitors day-to-day operations and team member shifts, establishes priorities, and addresses problems and concerns. Ensures the safeguarding and accuracy of the currency, credit/debit receipts, and all forms, documents and records used in the operation of the registers. Maintains the safeguarding and accuracy of store inventory of products and deli stock. Ensures the safekeeping of the periodic balance sheets showing the numbers of transactions processed and their respective amounts. Maintains accurate records of transaction totals. Completes and maintains non-monetary records and reports. Responsible for training and developing Cashiers and C-Store Supervisors by assessing each staff member's daily functions and performance, and training needs and communicating those needs to the Director. Ensures that all equipment, tools, and materials are operated and handled in a safe manner. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for all team members and guests. He/she promptly addresses safety hazards and reports all concerns to the Director. Promotes internal guest service standards by role modeling the desired behaviors and ensuring that all team members are treated with the same levels of professionalism, courtesy, and respect as are extended to external patrons. Performs other related duties as assigned and/or directed. Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Four (4) years of supervisory experience and retail or convenience store experience. General knowledge of computers with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of product and consumer trends and marketing strategies. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Employment history that demonstrates dependability and longevity. Requires strong problem solving, decision making and cash handling skills. Must possess professional and effective communication skills with ability to adequately respond to team members and management. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to cover holidays, evenings, and weekends as well as fill in for other personnel on an emergency basis. Must maintain a valid Oregon driver's license.
