Become a part of our caring communityThe Accounting Lead performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements. You will conduct and assist in the documentation of accounting projects. You will work on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.The Accounting Lead prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.Job Responsibilities:Provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget.Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.Review and prepare financial data, transactions and reports, including ad-hoc data requests for executive leadershipPartner with other areas across the organization to ensure accurate reporting of our financialsReview monthly close and approved journal entriesDevelop methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing financial data and preparing complex analysesAnalyze payer agnostic medical data for trends and financial impactPresent markets with monthly financial performance and trend insightsUse your skills to make an impact Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field5+ years with general accounting/monthly close process2 or more years of leadership experienceExperience presenting to upper managementExcel proficiencyPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in business administrationPrior experience within the healthcare industryCertified Public Accountant licenseFamiliarity with Healthcare income statements and MLR (medical loss ratios)SQL and EssbaseHealthcare claims reserving and developmentAdditional InformationThis is a hybrid position, with an expectation of working approximately two days per week from the downtown Louisville, KY office. Fully remote arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.Scheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$94,900 - $130,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
