Trauma Medical Director/Acute Care Surgeon

Northwell Health is seeking a full-time academic Trauma Medical Director/Acute Care Surgeon to join the faculty at their Northern Westchester campus in Mount Kisco, NY. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work as a Clinician Educator in a high-acuity environment with a supportive and experienced team. The successful candidate will lead efforts to achieve Level III designation and contribute to active research in basic science, translational, and clinical areas.

Responsibilities
- Lead us to achieve Level III designation
Compensation
- Full-time clinical base compensation ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, impacted by various factors including physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity
Benefits
- Eligible employees will receive 100% employer-paid tuition expenses towards a master’s degree from Hofstra University
- Those attending another university will receive $5,000 annually in reimbursement toward qualified tuition expenses
- Qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program (PSLF) under federal student aid
Requirements
- BE/BC in Surgical Critical Care/Trauma Surgery
- Strong commitment to medical student and resident education
- Interest in translational and/or clinical research is desirable
