By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology East at Gateway Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs. Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include: Assisting with procedures, performing specialty-related tests/monitoring, andmonitoring sedated patients as needed. Collect, properly label, and handle specimens in accordance with facility policy and regulatory standards; ensure accurate patient identification and specimen verification processes are followed. Performs reprocessing and disinfecting of instruments. Maintains a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment. Responds to emergency situations as directed. Responsible for assisting the medical staff by collecting information, taking vital signs, andpreparing patients for procedures. May perform post-procedure duties including assisting with post-anesthesia recovery, providing information and education, and transporting patients. Performs clinical support duties as assigned; may include quality control, maintenance of equipment and checking for outdated medication/equipment. Assisting withthe overall delivery of patient care in the departments and with other duties as assigned. Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: Level I: $25.14 - $34.02 per hour. Level II: $27.66 - $37.42 per hour. Workdays: This role will be located at the Gateway Medical Office Building. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, with four 10-hour shifts (7:00 am to 5:30 pm) with a day off TBD. Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including: Minimum of one (1) year of previous Endoscopy Technician or Medical Assistant experience is strongly preferred. within 60 days of hire. Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus! Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
